A fan favorite and nothing like the Mt. SAC course. Woodbridge is as flat and as fast as they come. This meet is ran in the evening and is a great opportunity to run fast and come away with a personal best time. This will be the first meet with a dedicated varsity lineup alongside grade level races for everybody else.

First league race of the season against our Citrus Belt League rivals. Here we will encounter Redlands, Citrus Valley, Redlands East Valley, Beaumont, and Cajon in a 6 team race. There will be a dedicated varsity race and the rest of the athletes will combine to run in the Junior Varsity race. This meet counts for 25% of the points needed to claim a league championship.

We will be returning to the Clovis Invitational to gain experience racing on the state meet course. This course is one of the few 5k's we will race this season. Only the top 7 boys and girls will be invited to participate at this event. This is an overnight trip in Fresno, California. The rest of the team will compete in an event the same weekend that will be announced at a later date.

Our second look at our Citrus Belt League rivals. This race also counts for 25% of the points needed to win a league championship. This is the final tune-up race before the last race of the season for the majority of the team at league finals.

Last race of the 2024 season for those not moving on to CIF. This race will decide the CBL Champions and determine All-League honors (Top 10 Varsity Finishers in the Boys and Girls race). This race also determines which teams in the league move on to CIF Prelims (Top 3 Boys and Girls teams).

First round of the playoffs. Traditionally there are 4 heats with the top 4 teams in each heat moving on to the following weeks finals. 16 teams get to move on to CIF Finals for a shot at qualifying for the California State Meet. The race is held at the coveted Mt. SAC course and this time the full 3 mile length will be ran.

Course Overview

 

One of the most important races of the season. The top 7 teams in the 16 team field qualify for the opportunity to represent their program at the California State Championships. For the second week in a row the meet will be held at Mt. SAC. The top 3 teams get recognized as podium finishers with each athlete receiving a special medal and plaque and the top 10 individuals take home All-CIF honors.

This is it. The one you trained all season for. The California State Championships. If you made it this far, you join an elite group of athletes on the starting line and get to represent Yucaipa amongst California's finest cross country programs. There is no next week, next time, or next season. There is nothing left to do here but put it all out on the course and show the rest of the state just how hard you worked all season for this moment.
